PAT Cable Testing with Zero Downtime
Documentation Ready To Go

Ensuring your EV cables are a safe is a legal requirement. It should not cost a fortune.
The IET PAT/EET Code of Practice specifically highlights EV charging cables. Every cable in your fleet should be tested annually. But traditional testing means depot visits, driver downtime, and hidden costs that add up fast.
Wottz Fleet Pro handles the whole process. We send pre-tested replacement cables, your drivers swap them over, and we test the returned cables at our lab. No downtime. No depot visits. Full compliance documentation uploaded automatically.
The platform
Free tools to manage your cables, with optional managed testing on Pro.
Asset management
Track every cable by length, vehicle, and location. Assign cables to drivers and see your entire fleet in one dashboard. No more spreadsheets.
Integrated ordering
Order through the platform and each cable is automatically assigned to a vehicle. Shipped with the number plate on the packaging so drivers know which cable is theirs.
Driver requests
Drivers submit replacement requests through a dedicated form, pre-filled with their assigned vehicle. You review and approve. Simple.
Managed PAT testing
We handle the entire PAT/EET testing process. Pre-tested cables sent out, old cables returned and tested at our lab. Compliance reports uploaded automatically.
How Fleet Pro works

Step 1
We send pre-tested cables
When a cable is due for testing, we ship a pre-tested replacement direct to the driver. No depot visit needed.

Step 2
Driver swaps and returns
The driver swaps the cables and drops the old one in the prepaid return box included with every shipment. Takes a few minutes.

Step 3
We test, report, repeat
The returned cable is tested at our lab across 28 test points. Results upload to your dashboard automatically. When the next one is due, the cycle starts again.
Traditional PAT testing costs £58 to £123 per cable
That includes the test itself, driver time, fuel, and the opportunity cost of having a vehicle off the road. Wottz Fleet Pro costs around £33 per cable, including shipping. And the driver never misses a journey.

Common questions from fleet managers
Is the free plan really free?
Yes. Asset management, integrated ordering, driver requests, and exclusive fleet discounts on every cable. No card required, no time limit.
Do you test third-party cables?
Yes. Fleet Pro covers Wottz cables and third-party cables. If it has a Type 1 or Type 2 plug, we can test it.
How often should EV cables be PAT tested?
The IET Code of Practice recommends annual testing for EV charging cables. Wottz Fleet Pro tracks due dates automatically and starts the swap process before the deadline.
What happens if a cable fails testing?
We flag it immediately and the driver already has a working replacement. Failed cables are repaired where possible or recycled responsibly. The report is available in your dashboard.
Can I add my existing cables to the platform?
Yes. You can register any EV cable on the platform, regardless of where it was purchased. Assign it to a vehicle and start tracking.
How many vehicles do I need?
There is no minimum. The platform works for fleets of five or five thousand. Pricing scales with the number of cables on Pro.
We switched to Wottz cables across our entire fleet. The quality is noticeably better than what we had before, and the ordering process through the platform saves our team hours every month.
